Gordon Murray, the designer of the 240 mph McLaren F1 as if you did not know that, was asked by Ducati 15 years ago to design a motorcycle to replace the 916 line, called the 898. If they had chosen his design, the bike would have had a carbon fibre sub-frame, headstock, tank and airbox and weigh just about 165-170kg dry. It is a pretty beast and might be worth producing by Ducati anyway, but that is unlikely. Anyone out there need a very cool project and some help!?
