Aprilia's Moto2 Team Will Not Race in 2010 - Period!

Well, that is the feeling from Aprilia's Gigi dall'Igna, anyway. Aspar's Jorge Martinez has been trying to meet with Aprilia, but the meeting date has now been pushed back again, so it is less and less likely that he will be able to resurrect the racing plans. Who knows, maybe Martinez can change their minds with some solid sponsorship...maybe...

Aspar May Trake Over Aprilia Moto2 Project

Aprilia had been planning to join the Moto2 class with their own chassis (of course, using the spec-Honda engine), but they announced a few days ago that they would be focusing their efforts elsewhere. In comes Jorge Martinez - he of Aspar - to say that he may expand his team by taking on that program. It would not be like creating a new team as Aprilia was nearly finished with their frame, but it would still take some serious work to make the team competitive.

Even More MotoGP Riders' Circus - Bautista and Barbera

So, though Alvaro Bautista had been talking about moving to the Aspar Ducati team, it seems that Jorge Martinez 'Aspar' has signed Hector Barbera to ride the Ducati. Bautista is now in talks with Suzuki for his MotoGP ride.
