The final race of the 2009 season for the Kiwi racers in the Western Province Regional Motorcycle was a dogfight, according to this article. The winner in the main was Rob Cragg on a Kawasaki ZX-10R - and then a similar group at the front in race 2, but a different winner - Danie Maritz on a Yamaha YZF-R1. New Zealand's Westrern Province Regional Motorcycle Championship

This weekend will be the penultimate race in that series, and the rookies are really taking the challenge to some of the veteran racers there. Kawasaki mounted newbie Rob Cragg has dominated the Class A series this year. Over in 600 Challenge, a young Michael Wahl has dominated every race on his Yamaha R6 - but, he has to look out for another rookie, David McFadden. The other classes are still pretty much wide open, but none of the championships have been decided yet - watch this weekend and you may see that happen!
