2010 BMW S1000RR Carbon Edition - Taking It to the Extreme

BMW has announced that they will be producing a carbon fiber edition of the 2010 BMW S1000RR supersport. The entire fairing is made of carbon fiber and every possible option is included on this machine. You also get the competition-only Akrapovic exhaust, which you can install for track day or racing duties. No word on how much weight savings we will see, but the Akrapovic exhaust adds 10 HP and smooths the torque curve. The price is as extraordinary as the bike itself, MSRP of €24,990 ($35,685), but you save money if you planned to do this conversion part-by-part yourself. Enjoy!

Sweet Yamaha YZF-R1 Rossi Motorcycle Auction for Riders for Health

The project was started by Don Emde, publisher and ex-racer and much more, and includes Yamaha USA, Roadracingworld.com, Aldo Drudi and Valentino Rossi. The YZF-R1 was donated by Yamaha, the bodywork was designed and painted by Drudi - he of Rossi helmet fame - based on the 'Five Continents' Rossi/AGV helmet and approved by Valentino Rossi. Many others are involved and adding services and parts, including Roland Sands Design, AGV, Ohlins and Akrapovic. No photo has been released as of yet and the auction time and location are also still up in the air. All proceeds will benefit Riders for Health.
