Maria Costello has not really been gone, but the fact remains that she is returning to the Isle of Man TT in 2010. She will be riding a BMW S1000RR, supplied by the factory and thus becoming part of their effort to capture some wins at the TT. Given the performance of the new BMW, Costello may have a chance to become an even faster 'fastest woman on the TT'!

We start off with a story on Maria Costello and the Manx Grand Prix. Businessman Steve Wheatman will be placing a Suzuki XR69 in her hands for the Post Classic race at the Isle of Man event in 2010. This will be the best level of support she has received so far in her career, and she will have a real chance of fighting for the leas of her event. It really should make the racing much more fun to watch. Costello now has a serious chance at full-time sponsorship, and that is a very good thing.

In racing news we hear that Kendra Tire will now be the official tire sponsor to the 2010 AMA EnduroCross series. The long-time off-road tire company based in the US has had many years of experience building tires for motocross, supercross and enduro racing. They are a perfect fit for the series and Kenda is very proud to now be aligned with the race series for the future.

Now that the 2010 AMA Supercross season has already started, it was odd not to see a usual stalwart in the line-up. For the first time in 18 years, Tim Ferry was sitting at home watching the race on TV. He injured his heel last year at the Daytona Supercross and, though he finished the 2009 season, it has never healed. So, he must wait and see if his doctors can get him fit enough to race again.
