Dunlop had intended to ride the new Norton at the Isle of Man TT, but could not do so due to technical problems. He couldn't even get the bike in good enough shape to qualify for the Senior TT. The NRV588 is behind all of the competition, by a long way, and he is not sure it will be worth riding in the TT. He is not tied to them legally, so he is not walking on a contract. It's just that he is a racer and he should be on something with which he has a chance to win.

PR: Norton Motorcycles is Coming to Canada!

It turns out that this all came about when the principal at the old Norton Canada importer met with the new Norton crew at the Isle of Man TT earlier this year. Talk about serendipity! Thanks again Kenny Dreer!
