The motorcycle racing weekend at California's Infineon Raceway has been re-named the West Coast Moto Jam. The event will take place when AMA Pro Racing and the TTXGP host their races at the track. The whole thing goes off 14 - 16 May 2010, so don't miss it!

The USGPRU has announced that they are raising the value of the race purse for the 2010 season. They are doing this to encourage more people to participate in the series. With the economy only slowly recovering, they needed to do something to keep the competitors interested in participating. It should go a long way to improve the racing and should help to bring in the crowds!

Honda's Andrew Short was injured in the AMA Supercross event this past weekend in San Diego. This brings us to some four (or five) top riders who are sitting out at this point in the season due to some rather nasty injuries. Josh Herrin Takes a Trip to His Past for AMA Road Race Grand Champioships
He traveled to the event - which is cool in and of itself - and raced a Yamaha 450 4-stroke in the USGPRU 250GP race. He won in his class, but the main purpose was to go and have fun - mission accomplished! And, Herrin wasn't the only professional enjoying the track...
