Wednesday Afternoon Moto News - BMW and BSB & Tom Sykes

BMW has announced that they have teamed up with Jentin Racing to compete in the National 1000 Superstock with Richard Cooper and in the BSB Evo series with rider Steve Brogan. All parties are quite happy with the arrangement and it looks like BMW will be racing their S1000RR against the best in the world on at least four continents.

Tom Sykes is very happy with his new Kawasaki World Superbike Team, and Paul Bird Motorsport, so far. He will be competing on the World stage very soon and feels that the Kawasaki team has what it will take to get him to the top. Sykes has some strong competition, though, so even doing very well may not be enough...

Mark Buckley Battles Nasty Virus to Compete in Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix

Yep, it's true, Buckley was invited to ride in the race by British Superbikes regular Jentin Lloyds British. A few days before the race, though, he caught sick and was bedridden. In total, he was only on the track three times during practice to get to know the track - not much time for a new track. On race day, he fought his way out of bed and completed the race in a top ranked position. He had to visit the hospital wight after the event...Expect to see him there in 2010, and we all hope he will stay healthy!

David Johnson Will Ride for Jentin Racing for Final 2 Rounds of BSB

They let him go from his contract at Team Maxxis Yamaha due to a serious crash at Brands Hatch. The Jentin Racing team had been put out of action when their rider partnership dissolved. Now the rider and team will be working together for the final two races of the 2009 BSB season...
