Valentino Rossi Takes Second in Monza Rally 2009

Rossi was joined by two other MotoGP racers in this event: Marco Simoncelli and Loris Capirossi. Rossi led for much of the event, but spun out and ended the day in second place - not bad for someone whose real job involves two wheels, not four. Simoncelli finished in seventh and Capirossi had some trouble and finished in 15th. Rossi was driving a Ford Focus WRC car with co-driver Carlo Cassina. Must have been fun!

MotoGP 2010 Dates Could be Altered Dramatically

It seems that there are a few conflicts with Formula 1 events next season which may require Dorna to change several race dates in 2010. There is a rumor that Silverstone may switch dates with Laguna Seca; Misano may be moved as it is in conflict with the Italian F1 race at Monza. All of this is just speculation at this point, but you might have to change your 2010 MotoGP travel plans...stay tuned.

Rossi Tells of Ferrari Talks for Race at Monza - Italian F1 Grand Prix

Since Felipe Massa is injured (if you have not seen this incident, head over to YouTube and search for it; it's amazing that Massa is still alive!), Valentino Rossi had spoken to the Ferrari F1 team about having a one-off race at the Italian Grand Prix. But, since the cost-cutting measures in Formula 1 have cut testing time drastically for everyone and he is working towards the MotoGP championship currently, he would not have had a chance to get used to the car...
