Big MotoGP News for Speed Viewers in North America

Dorna and Speed (TV) have reached an agreement which will allow the US-based channel to air the 2010 - 2012 MotoGP Championship seasons in high-definition (HD) LIVE! It's the first of its kind for North American fans of the world's greatest sport, the Motorcycle Grand Prix. The agreement begins this weekend with the Qatar round of the series - a night race in the desert. Speed will show the event live at 4 PM (ET) on 11 April 2010. Easton Crashes Hard at Cadwell Park Test & MotoGP in HD, Finally!

Swan Honda rider, and British Superbike Championship favorite, Stuart Easton went down in a rather nasty way while testing for the 2010 season at Cadwell Park. He was airlifted to the hospital where they are going to do some exploratory surgery around his knee. So far it looks like he will be OK, but they want to be sure everything is in fine order before they let him get back on the track...

MotoGP has finally entered into the 21st century by way of broadcasting the races in Hi-Definition! Some races have already been filmed in HD, but those were not broadcast to the public. In 2010, all MotoGP races will be available in HD and will be initially broadcast in HD, though your provider may not send full HD signals to your TV. Check with your local MotoGP broadcast channel to see if you will get the full experience!

Jason Britton Signs With Two Brothers Racing & 2010 Suzuki Boulevard M109 Review

Jason Britton, and his Team No Limit, have now signed a multi-year agreement with Two Brothers Racing. Two Brothers will be supplying all of the exhaust bits on the machines used by Britton and his team. As you probably already know, Britton is one of the most notable stunt riders today and he is the host of Speed TV's "Super Bikes!" show. For the details, please take the link.

The Suzuki Boulevard M109 is not the most powerful machine Suzuki makes, but you would not notice that while experiencing it. It is a bike which is defined by the 'power-cruiser' segment and it shows it. The Boulevard M109 is also not a featherweight by any means, though this fact is often forgotten when tooling around a back road at a high-tilt speed...check the review...

Monday Afternoon Moto News from Around the World

This afternoon is a bit less crazy than this morning, which means that it is very quiet now. Hopefully, this is because many people in the motorcycle industry are at home with their families!

First up here is the Road Racer X round-up of birthdays and other important events in motorcycle history. We have birthdays for Jurgen van den Goodbergh, William S. Harley, Sergio Gadea, Alex Gramigni, Jordan Szoke, Kenny Roberts, Phil Read, SpeedTV (yes, the TV network), Luis d’Antin, Kel Carruthers, Shoichiro Irimajiri. And, the death of Cal Rayborn in 1973. There are some huge birthdays on that list, so go and take a look.

And, we are being teased by an Indian company on the release of their new electric motorcycle. Tork India, who finished in third place Open Class in the 2009 TTXGP, have placed a photo on their Facebook page with a covered motorcycle - and not much more.
