Well, probably the most well-known motorcycle racer in Baja 1000 racing, Johnny Campbell, had his team on the top spot in Class 22 on their Honda CRF450X. The team consisted of Kendall Norman, Tim Weigand and Quinn Cody - also some well recognized off-road racers. The race consisted of a 672.85-mile course of natural desert terrain; it started for the 35th time and finished for the 20th time in Ensenada, Mexico, 65 miles south of the U.S. border at San Diego. 2009 Portugal International Six Days Enduro Reports and Results
The 2009 Portugal ISDE has been flying under my radar for too long now. So, here is a link to a full update - Days 1 -3, rider stories, and more. It is going OK for team USA - currently sixth for the men's team and fourth for the women's team - but France is doing very well and is in the lead at the halfway point.
