First up is a list - complete with photos - of some of the most extreme and insane motorcycles ever built. Though most of them are prototypes or concept vehicles, many are also production and could have been purchased after they were built. However, some of them are just simply insane. Either way, you are bound to find something which gets your heart pumping! (Mind you, though, that some choices here you will not agree with.)

Now we hear that Kenny Eggers has passed away at the age of 80 - natural causes, they say. He was part of the "BSA Wrecking Crew" from 1950's era racing in the US. He took fifth place in the Grand National Series opener at Daytona, riding a BSA Shooting Star. That launched him into fame as every racer who finished in front of him was also on a BSA. He will be remembered as a great racer, a talented builder and an all-around nice guy.

From Italy comes the Sport Monza 1000 kit for Moto Guzzi V11 Sport. It is designed by Ghezzi-Brian, who is also responsible for the enigmatic Moto Guzzi MGS-01 race machine. This is a kit to change your V11 into something much more sport-oriented and much sleeker in appearance. The entire kit will set you back quite a bit - even the aesthetic kit (just for the outside of the bike, but it includes some serious parts) sells for €5240 (US$7,600) - but what price perfection? Have a look...

The 2009 Portugal ISDE DVD has also just released - a little late for Christmas, but not too bad considering the event was only held a few months ago. It is a two-disc set and is comprised of the Team USA assault on the trophy. It also includes the Junior and Women's teams as well. It's worth watching every minute!

Husaberg Update from 2009 Portugal ISDE
The riders who compete for Husaberg were ready for the competition in Portugal this year. They did very well for their teams, but they did not gain individual trophies, unfortunately. Joakim Ljunggren had a good event finishing 12th on the fist day and then placing third on the second day in the E2 class; at the final race of the event in E2, he placed a respectable 9th. Calle Sjöö basically followed Ljunggren by placing 13th on day one and fourth on day 2 in the E2 class. He managed a fourth place in the final day's motocross event which took him to eighth overall. Salonen and Carlsson did not have such a great event, but Salonen placed himself in to the top 10 overall by the end; Carlsson was forced out of the event with an injury...

World Enduro Rider Björne Carlsson Retires
Husaberg's 17-year enduro rider Carlsson announced his retirement after the French final round. This year was not too good to him, overall, but he still managed to have fun. He will continue to ride in Sweden and will ride the ISDE later this year.
