Even More News After Australian Superbike - and 2010 Season Schedule

Honestly, the news here is all from two press releases - one from Glenn Allerton' s team and one is from Jordan Burgess’ Australian Superstock 1000 Championship team. Have a look at how these two riders fared in the 2009 ASBK season.

Australian Superbike Championship Finale at Phillip Island Preview

So, here we have two stories (so far)...

First, there is Oleon Motologic Racing’s Glenn Allerton, who was champion in 2008, is currently two points ahead of challenger Suzuki’s Josh Waters. Allerton's teammate, Wayne Maxwell, sits in third - only nine points away from his partner. Their Honda CBR1000RRs are ready to race this weekend at Phillip Island.

Next, we have Teterin Motosport rider Jordan Burgess, who is very eager for this weekend to start. He sits in second place behind Pat Medcalf, who is 51 points ahead. It is possible for the Motologic Racing-prepared Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR-mounted rider to take the championship, but Medcalf would have to make a mistake for things to go to plan...

Australian Superbike Championship Finale at Phillip Island

It will not be here until next month - 27 - 29 November 2009 - and rider Wayne Maxwell is setting himself up for a real chance at the title. After doing so well last weekend at the MotoGP/ASBK round at Phillip Island, he has taken enough points to do it, and he is not sitting back and waiting for the next race. He is only nine points away from championship leader, and teammate, Glenn Allerton. Both are on the Oleon Motologic Racing team...

A Race Series of Which I Have Barely Covered - The Australian Superbike Championship

I should be much more involved with this race series - as with the BSB, the Australia Superbike Championship produces many world-class racers. In fact, the series was run in conjunction with the MotoGP races at Phillip Island (and I still missed it!). The Superbike Championship points race is heating up Down Under. Now, there is only one more event and the leaders - Glenn Allerton and Josh Waters - are only two points away from each other. In the Supersport class, it looks as if points leader Bryan Staring will take the Championship. Stay tuned and I will keep you updated.
