Leon Camier is making the best out of a nasty situation...well, a problem he had last weekend as he crashed his factory Aprilia RSV-4 during Superpole qualifying at Phillip Island. Camier is auctioning off the screen from the bike with all proceeds going to Sport Relief. He is hoping that something bad for him can turn in to something good for someone else...not a bad plan...

Simon Andrews has finally faced sentencing in his case involving his 24 October 2009 early morning crash. Since there was no evidence of 'drink-driving', he was not sentenced under that statute. Instead, he was instructed to pay a fine and had some penalty points added to his license. But, the judge was rather sure that Andrews should have been given a harsher sentence, but he had not evidence to do so...

Thursday Morning Moto News - Gary Mason, Volunteers for WSBK & Monster Energy

MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider Gary Mason has been using some unusual techniques to get ready for the 2010 British Superbike Championship season. Friday Morning Moto News - WSBK, Brookes for Parkes & Gary Mason

The World Superbike Championship teams have all taken their equipment down to Phillip Island for the second official test of the 2010 season. The testing action actually begins on Sunday (21 February) and will go through the following day. The injured Broc Parkes will be replaced on his Echo CRS Honda WSBK team by racer Josh Brookes. It marks the return of Brookes to WSBK after being away for two years. The deal only goes through the first race at Phillip Island, but it could be extended...

In the BSB paddock, Gary Mason is going for the Championship! Well-known motorcycle World Champion and journalist Steve Parrish has said that 2010 will be the year of Britain in the motorcycle racing series of the world. He expects James Toseland to get a fire under his rear and to take the WSBK paddock by storm; however, he sees Jonathan Rea as the heir apparent for the World Championship. No matter how it all goes down, British participation is heading in the right direction for him!

More Morning Moto News - MSS Colchester & Silverstone

MSS Colchester Kawasaki is due to have a very busy 2010. They will be competing in the BSB Championship, the National Superstock Championship and the Isle of Man TT. The will have at least four riders and will also be developing technology in conjunction with the Paul Bird WSBK team. They will not have much time to relax, but it will certainly give them a chance to take home some titles and learn enough to give them a chance at each and every round.

The Silverstone track is just about ready to host racing at the track. They have made some improvements - some major, others minor - which should lead to a very fast and challenging circuit for the various series which will grace their paddock. MSS Colchster Kawasaki rider Simon Andrews is in France doing high-altitude training. He will be competing in the British Superbike Championship in 2010, and he wants to be in his best shape. It makes sense to train in the thin air as it will make you even better at near sea-level altitudes. He has also been working on recovering from injury, but all seems to be going well so far.

Thursday Morning Moto News Part 2 - Racing News

The Australian Motorcycle News International Island Classic will kick off at Phillip Island during 22 - 24 January 2010. Malcolm ‘Wally’ Campbell and Robbie Phillis will be the big draw as they face off in a four-race format. But, riders from all over Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom will be there to compete in several different classes with historic motorcycles. Some very historic models will be ridden on the track during the event, so get there if you are able!

MSS Colchester Kawasaki has secured some World Superbike-spec electronics to run with in the British Superbike Championship in 2010. The package is perfectly legal - once adjusted - and will really give the team an advantage on the track as the WSBK systems are top of the line. They picked up their package from Paul Bird Motorsport, who will be running in the WSBK series in 2010.

Colchester Kawasaki is a big organization, fielding teams in many motorcycle race series throughout the UK. Their primary effort, though, is to be see in British Superbike. On that team, they will retain Simon Andrews and have added the very experienced Gary Mason for 2010. The two riders have a similar style and it should be a very solid team.

MSS Colchester Kawasaki Signs Tony Coombs to Race in MRO Stocksport Championship

Yep, MSS Colchester is supporting U.K. club racing - in hopes, of course, that their new signing will move up. Coombs did very well in the Thundersport MRO Supersport 600 Championship, so they are going to take him in and put him on a Kawasaki ZX-6R to race in the Stocksport series and some wildcard rides in the Metzeler National Superstock, which runs with the BSB series.

Farquhar is a double TT winner and the Irish Motorcyclist of the Year - he has even beaten Joey Dunlop’s amazing total of 119 Irish national race wins. Michael Rutter Takes His Kawasaki to Macau GP for Seventh Win

Rutter will be racing for Team of Paris AXA Racing on a Kawasaki ZX-10R prepared by MSS Colchester Kawasaki. The race is a 'real roads' competition held on the Chinese island of Macau. Racers from around the world converge on the track next month. Rutter already has six victories at the event - which ties him with GP ace Ron Haslam - and he is hoping for his record-setting seventh! Big Chnages Ahead for Irish Racer Michael Pearson

He had a very good 2009 in the racing series consisting of mostly real roads - not tracks. He won the Cock O’ the North race and took top honors again at the season finale, Killalane Road Races. He did ride both Yamaha and Honda in 2009, but for 2010 he will be on a Kawasaki - thanks to his sponsor and MSS Kawasaki. He's on his way up!

Kawasaki Expands 'Team Green' into Road Race Effort

IN the U.K., Kawasaki has had a 'Team Green' race team for over 25 years. However, for the most part, it is only associated with off-road competition there - and in some other nations. However, with Kawasaki's entry into the British Superbike Championship (Kawasaki won the 2009 Junior Superpsort Championship), they will be using the Team Green branding to make it easy to recognize the factory efforts in the series.
