University of Minnesota Students Present Motorcycle for Paraplegics
I have seen a show on one of these motorcycles before - some rider who lost the use of his legs and so he and another engineer produced one which worked for him; it was so cool to see him riding again! This is a much newer version and it is also destined to an unfortunate - well, now he is a bit more fortunate - rider, Canadian Scott Tyson. Very cool! Very good job! I guess not all kids these days are squids...

Polaris Industries to Manufacture Electric Vehicle
They are the parent company of one of my favorite cruiser makers - Victory - and they also make ATVs and snowmobiles, not to mention the many derivatives they manufacture. Now, they have seen where the future of the powersports world is heading and they have already started to produce the 'Breeze' - an electric vehicle aimed at retirees in the Sun Belt. It is only a start, though, as they plan to learn from this experience and, possibly, go further into the electric vehicle market...maybe even electric motorcycles.

Chopper College to Use Green Choppers to Teach
A school located in Minnesota which provides 'chopper building boot camps' has decided to add 'green' technology to the mix. The idea behind it is to increase its profile, but it may help urge the industry to even cleaner motorcycles...at least it is a step in the right direction.
