More Moto News - Middleweight Cruiser Shootout

Are you looking for a laid-back ride which is easy on your wallet, not too garish, and will take you anywhere the road leads? Well, this is a review for you. Here we have four middleweight cruisers which will do about anything their larger siblings can do, but for less. The (all are 2010 models) Harley-Davidson Sportster 883, Star V-Star 950, Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom and Honda Shadow Phantom. Which one is best for you? Take the link and figure it out!

A Harley-Davidson Cafe Racer - The Deus Sportster

Finally, a good-looking H-D! If the Motor Company built a bike like this - and they almost did with Buell - I might consider it. Of course, I would only do it if they also improved the engine's power curve (so that there is actually some power there). This Deus, though, is actually built from the stock Sportster 1200 - no engine mods and the same chassis - but it still looks like it would outrun almost any V-Twin from Milwaukee.

Good Design: Speed Shop Design Special #6

It is what is left over from a 1978 Harley-Davidson Sporster basket-case which the builder purchased some four years ago. He bought it with the idea of getting it back on the road - but the seller was wrong when he stated that all parts were included in the sale; there were many missing. So, he took the bike and started a new design...and the SSD Special #6. Thank you Chris Flechtner for this work of art.
