Honda's new V4 VFR1200 is just full of new technology! It can run on either 2, 3 or 4 cylinders as needed and it has a double-clutch gearbox. And this is just the beginning...I can't wait until this thing hits the streets...

Yamaha on Fire at VIR this Weekend (16 August 2009)
It may be called the Suzuki Big Kahuna National, but Yamaha was on fire at VIR - in a good way - not like an iPhone! After Josh Herrin took both Daytona SportBike events, his teammate Josh Hayes went on to win the American Superbike race. All of this action took place on the beautiful circuit of Virginia International Raceway. It was a very good weekend for Yamaha USA.

Triumph fans should like this result in AMA Pro Moto-GT. I know I am - that 675 triple of theirs is a great motorcycle.

If Only...Lustful MV Agusta at Concours d'Elegance
At the annual Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach this weekend - the motorcycle edition was cancelled this year, so they simply invited some motorcycles for this event - a lovely 1979 MV Agusta Magni Superlight is up for auction. If only I had some money...well, I guess it might be tough to come up with the US$162,000 'buy it now' price. Anyone want a good kidney!?! How about a partial liver!?! All in working order, of course...

Spidi Changes US Distributor
This may sound trivial - and who knows, you may never notice - but this does change who holds and ships all Spidi merchandise in the United States. It could possibly change where you are able to purchase it as well; unless you buy it all at your dealer.

In Michigan? Test Ride a NEW Indian Motorcycle
Smokin Joes Motorsports of Caledonia, Michigan, is an official Indian dealer now. So, to promote this new alliance, they are going to let customers test ride the new Indian models next weekend - August 22-23, 2009.
Of course, they will sell 'only American-made' motorcycles there...I guess they don't know that no motorcycle is all American-made, just 'assembled in the USA'.

A Steampunk's Wet Dream - 1934 BMW R7 Prototype
This link will take you to see an object of desire, a prime example of design and passion, and a 1934 BMW R7 which was never produced, but maybe should have been - I know that I would be after one now if it were actually built and sold. The 'art deco' style you have seen up to now cannot prepare you for this feast for the eyes.
