Joel Morris & Ben Grindrod Get Rides in BSB Superstock

Joel Morris had to sit out most of last season as he did not have a ride in any race series. This season, though, he has landed a chance to ride for the Buildbase team in the 2010 BSB National Superstock 600 Championship. It was his friend Adam Jenkinson who landed him the position. Ben Grindrod, a student in Business & Management Studies, has also secured a ride in the 2010 BSB Superstock 600 series. He will be riding for Seton Interceptor Team on a Yamaha YZF-R6. Grindrod's claim to fame at this early stage in his career is his Gold Medal in the 2009 MRO Junior Stock Sport Championships. He is a gifted young racer who has his whole career in front of him...can't wait to see how he does in 2010!

MORE Afternoon Moto News - Buildbase Kawasaki, ASBK & Full Throttle Sports

Buildbase Kawasaki has finished their testing in Spain in preparation for the 2010 British Superbike Championship, with riders John Laverty and Adam Jenkinson getting their first laps aboard the Kawasaki ZX-10R bikes they will be riding in the series. The time was organized by their suspension provider and was extremely useful for the new teammates. Wait and see if it helps them challenge for the title.

The 2010 Australian Superbike Championship will also be staring this weekend at Phillip Island - along with the WSBK season. In further ASBK news, we hear that one team has added a sponsor to their teams. Cougar Bourbon has signed on with Full Throttle Sports to sponsor both the ASBK team and the Australian MX Championship. This is big as it is rare to find a sponsor so ready to support an entire team's operations. The livery has already been drawn up and is ready to be put on both their Honda Fireblade ASBK machine and their CRF450R MX machine. For all the details, please take the link.

Repli-Cast UK Racing Team Announces Riders for 2010

In the BSB Superstock 600 series, Robbie Stewart will take to the track on a Buildbase-backed ZX-6R. Kasey Wyatt will contend the Relentless British 125GP Championship. Sam Hornsey - a new signing - will contend the same series as Wyatt in 2010. And their other new racer, Josh Corner, will contest the Thudersport GB “Superteen Challenge”. Looks like Repli-Cast will have broad representation in the U.K. racing series.

Buildbase Kawasaki Confirms Laverty and Jenkinson for 2010 BSB

John Laverty rode the Ninja for the Buildbase team in 2009 and had a relatively successful outing; his new teammate, Adam Jenkinson, was on a Honda last season and manged some respectable finishes. BSB Kawasaki Rider Tristan Palmer Disappointed With His Season

He has only 35 points heading into the three-race season finale at Outlon Park. His teammate, John Laverty, has been the focus of the Buildbase Kawasaki team, according to Palmer, due to financial issues. After all, in the second race at Silverstone, his engine exploded and caused a red flag. His future is unsure at this point, but he is not worried as he is focusing on finishing the season...
