More Morning Moto News - 2010 Aprilia Mana 850 GT & KTM IDM Contingent

The 2010 Aprilia Mana 850 GT ABS will be available very soon. It is seemingly the spawn of a Dorsoduro and a SportCity scooter - with its aggressive looks and scooter-like transmission giving it an odd spot on the motorcycle continuum. However, it still rides rather well and has some decent performance stats. Though it will never take out a liter-bike, it will certainly be a civil and long-serving companion which can take you just about anywhere...plus, ABS is now standard on the GT model in the US.

KTM has a very young line-up for the 2010 running of the German IDM 125c.c. class. Their ages are 13, 15, 16 and 17, yet they are among the best in their age groups. New Race Series in Germany for 2010 - PRE GP Cup

The race series is made to be rather inexpensive to compete in and provide a path to gaining a ride in one of the top worldwide racing championships. There are numerous ways to participate and they already have a schedule for the 2010 season. It could be a great way to get yourself or your child into motorcycle road racing.

BMW to Enter S1000RR in World Superstock Championship

After a rather good season in World Superbike, BMW has decided to try its new S1000RR superbike in the World Superstock paddock. They will now be one of 9 manufacturers in the series. BMW will let BMW Motorrad Italia run the team, but they will get full support from the factory. This adds to the series in which the new model may race in in 2010: World Superbike, World Supersport, German IDM Superbike, World Superbike satellite? AMA American Superbike? British Superbike? British Superbike satellite? We will probably hear of where to see this machine on the track within the next few months...

Karl Muggeridge Will Race in German IDM Series in 2010

Muggeridge could not find a seat in the World Superbike paddock, so he has decided to move to the German IDM series riding a Holzhauer Honda. The team he is joining is a German dealer and tuning center which is run with the utmost professionalism. Given all of his experience, the right team will do him very good indeed.

KTM Does Well in German Superbike With New RC8R

The International German Championship for Superbikes (IDM) is actually held over 8 weekends (16 races) in three countries: Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. The just 12-month-old KTM team managed to secure a second place overall in the final round at Hockenheim. Unfortunately, all RC8R riders crashed out over the weekend with leading rider Stefan Nebel crashing in the last race. This is a very good start for a new for 2009 motorcycle!
