It appears that CEO Shinji Aoyama of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Ltd has come out to the buying public plain and simple - this model will cost more than the original estimated MSRP. The CB Unicorn Dazzler 150 will need to cost more to make up for its higher overall quality. It seems that HMSI is dedicated to making this machine a very reliable and strong bike. If it rides on the roads of India, it must be a very stout - nee indestructible - and it must handle very well. Take a look at the new machine...

2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Ride & Motocorse Monster 1100 Titanium!
Here we ave another impression on the new Ducati Multistrada 1200. The odd aura around this machine seems to be holding back the big mag reviews. Must be waiting to sell some serious ads; that makes sense. This is a first impression of the Multistrada S model - the one I want - and it is a bit short. This comes right out of Japan and Italy; the new machine of the moment from the brilliant folks at Motocorse have produced a rather severely beautiful and light Ducati Monster 1100. It is tricked out with all of their best kit and is loaded with titanium (obviously) and carbon fibre - saving nearly 29 lb. of weight. The Bakker Grizzly Allround is something to see, and that is just about all you get from the linked post. It is based on a GSX-R1000 engine but has the capabilities of a BMW GS machine. At 160 HP it even puts the 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200F to shame on the road, but it also costs a bit more than that Italian beastie. Nico Bakker is always pushing the limits and his Grizzly Allround is certainly a credit to his talent with metal!

Fischer Motor Introduces MRX650 Low & San Felipe 250 Results
Fischer Motor Company - they of GP frames, high-end suspension and components, and Hyosung engines - have now announced a lower seat model of their MRX650 machine. This is especially designed for the inseam-challenged amongst us, yet it still maintains the great handling and performance of the original model. The San Felipe 250 is in the books now and it looks like Johnny Campbell Racing keeping Honda's dominance in Baja in sound order. Kawasaki's riders Robby Bell and Steve Hengeveld and second team riders Ryan and Connor Penhall rounded out the podium. This shows us once again (the first time being the Baja 1000) that Team Green is getting close to Honda in these off-road, hard core motorcycle races...

Jerry Romano’s Square Norton & 2010 Kawasaki ZX-10R Review
You really have to take a look at this machine. Jerry Romano has managed to fit an Ariel Square Four into a Norton Featherbed frame. Just the fact that he massaged the engine into the frame speaks volumes about his skill with motorcycles. This is one of the most incredible customs to come along in a while - it even looks factory-made. The 997cc Ariel Square Four engine is the design of Triumph legend Edward Turner and is a classic all by itself...take the link and be impressed!
The 2010 Kawasaki ZX-10R has finally been ridden for the press. It is mostly unchanged, but they did alter the bodywork to more closely resemble the ZX-6R and to make the bike appear to be much lighter - even if the weight is still the same. It certainly looks sharper! The turn signals are a bit of an acquired taste, though. However, the bike is even smoother than last year and it will really tear up a track! Yamaha and DC Branded Bikes & Yamaha Details the 2010 FZ8
The collaboration between leading sportswear company DC and Yamaha Motor has yielded some special edition TT-R125 and YZ250F motorcycles. They, apparently, will be given away in contests of some sort and will be on display in select DC stores and Yamaha dealers around the US. The deal will give both brands more exposure and will certainly add to Yamaha's cache when the bikes are seen in DC retail locations...
Well, the photos broke cover long before they were supposed to, but that did nothing but increase the public's interest in the new 2010 Yamaha FZ8. We know that it will be a bike made for the twisties and the urban jungle, and that it looks very sweet from just about any angle. Now we know the technical specifications behind the beast and they are only a link away...

In the most recent round of the World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island, the Aprilia factory team chose to test out some gear-driven cams versus the stock machines chain-driven cams. This is allowed in the rules, but certain conditions must be met first. This will probably not cost Aprilia points, but a decision may force them to race with chain-driven cams like on the streetgoing version of the bike.

Aaron Zanotti has hooked up with his old team, Red Viper Spike, to contest the 2010 BSB Evo class. At first it seemed like the rider would have to go it alone, but his team came back and signed him for another year aboard a Suzuki GSX-R1000. As you can imagine, he is very happy with this turn of events as it keeps him in the series for one more season.

It's official now, Zero Motorcycles launched their four 2010 models at the Daytona Bike Week event in Florida yesterday. There are some changes - both technical and cosmetic - to this year's models, but they all have one thing in common with the previous models; they are industry leaders in convenience and technology. Tuesday Morning Moto News - Rider Dies on Phillip Island & MV Agusta F4 Review
A 72-year-old rider who was taking advantage of a program which allows spectators to take to the Phillip Island track after the races are finished. He had rented a Suzuki GSX-R600 to ride the circuit. While riding into the second turn he lost control and crashed - the rider behind him did not have time to stop and hit him. He was declared dead at the scene.

Early reports on the riding manners of the new 2010 MV Agusta F4-1000R are quite good. Many had complained about previous models being rather unforgiving on the road, but I have yet to seen that proven. However, the new F4 has the road-going behavior of a Honda now - it is smooth, easy to control, and takes to the track as if it were born there - and it was. For your own opinion, go take a demo ride or just take the link and read the review.

First Ride - 2010 Star Stratoliner Deluxe
The 2010 Star Stratoliner Deluxe is part of the flagship line of Star motorcycles produced by Yamaha. The Stratoliner Deluxe is meant for eating miles and riding all day and into the night...where you will have to use the rather bright headlight to find a place to sleep. The bike is a bit behind the times in terms of ABS and advanced ECUs, but it has everything you need for a very long trip - including an iPod jack to pump music out of the five inch speakers mounted on the fairing. Give this bike a look, especially if you are in the H-D crowd, because this may just be the flagship of the entire cruiser class! (and it has much more power than the brand from Milwaukee...)

The new MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR is something to behold - lovely, powerful, and very well-made. Well, how does it perform on the street? Well, let's just say that the Brutale sets the standard in the naked bike segment as it always has. The author here finds it slightly less perfect than the Streetfighter, but at least the Brutale has well-sorted suspension right off the production line and it is much more reliable than the Ducati...and that is borne out through the large number of warranty work on the new Streetfighter. Go MV and you will never regret it!

In this way all motorcyclists will be able to be tuned with the power of the new 4-cylinder MV engines from 998cc to 1078cc, and “have a proof” of the exceptional gifts of the incredible chassis and the new traction control adjustable on 8 levels.
Madrid, Rome, Florence, Nürburgring, Paris are only some of the cities that will be visited by Brutale on Tour and on July 11th it will end at Cascina Costa on the MV Agusta Revival, “holy” event for all motorcycle enthusiasts who have built the story of motorcycling… and who will carry on building it.
Instead F4 on Tour will offer the chance to all enthusiasts of trying the exceptional F4 on circuit. More Morning Moto News - 2010 Aprilia Mana 850 GT & KTM IDM Contingent
The 2010 Aprilia Mana 850 GT ABS will be available very soon. It is seemingly the spawn of a Dorsoduro and a SportCity scooter - with its aggressive looks and scooter-like transmission giving it an odd spot on the motorcycle continuum. However, it still rides rather well and has some decent performance stats. Though it will never take out a liter-bike, it will certainly be a civil and long-serving companion which can take you just about anywhere...plus, ABS is now standard on the GT model in the US.
KTM has a very young line-up for the 2010 running of the German IDM 125c.c. class. Their ages are 13, 15, 16 and 17, yet they are among the best in their age groups. Each of the riders will receive support from the KTM factory, but they are essentially privateers. For all of the details of who and which team, please take the link.

Dorna's top man, Carmelo Ezpeleta has again made the news cycle. This time it is all about Valentino Rossi and his time with Ferrari. Ezpeleta states that the Formula 1 interest in Rossi can only be good for the MotoGP Championship. He has a point as it will most certainly bring a few more fans into the series, not to mention some journalistic attention as well...

Saturday Afternoon Moto News - Tech 3 Yamaha & Vulcan 900 Custom SE
The 2010 Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP is much better than it was expected to be. With the new six engine limit in the series, many thought that the bikes would lose some performance. However, based on the testing in Malaysia, it looks like that was all wrong. In fact, Colin Edwards is very happy with the power from the M1 - they believe that the 2010 engine is superior to the 2009 engine that started the season. It could be that the new rules just make the prototype motorcycles better!
From the green manufacturer, Kawasaki, comes the 2010 Vulcan 900 Custom SE. While not the largest cruiser-type motorcycle on the planet, it certainly behaves like it does not care. The engine is lively, the frame rigid, and the suspension is top-notch for this price range. This Japanese V-twin will put to shame many larger 'American-made' bikes in the same category. It is worth looking into and even taking a ride.

Finally, we get word of a story on the new 2010 MV Agusta F4 which does not simply discuss how much the new model resembles the previous version. It is obvious that MV would not want to take too much away from the brilliant Tamburini design - who would? But, this new model is much more advanced than even the most recent version of the previous F4 series. This is only a first look, but it is informative...

The new 2010 Aprilia SXV 5.5 is rolling off the production lines and should be at a dealer near you soon. It is a lovely beast carrying over all the sweet bits from the previous model, but it has also been improved in many areas. The writer of the linked piece really sees it as it is - a Supermoto race machine dressed up in street-bike clothing. It is no secret that one of these will someday take up space in my garage.
