First Look: 2010 Ducati Monster 696, Monster 1100, SportClassic Sport 1000 Biposto

OK, so this does come to us from Consumer Reports - not exactly known for their motorcycle chops, but certainly known for their no-bias, no advertising, clinical approach to testing anything they get their hands on. In this case, though, it is not about the little circles - no ratings here. But, we do have a great first look at the new 2010 Ducati Monster 696, Monster 1100, and SportClassic Sport 1000 Biposto - all some of the great and more affordable Ducati bikes. It's a quick read, but worthy of a look.

Riding Impression: 2009 Ducati Sport 1000

According to the author - "it lives up to its name." I am not exactly sure which aspect he means, but maybe most of them. The bike has a nice classic look, modern powerplant, and a 'cafe racer' riding position. There are some failings, of course, but overall the Sport 1000 is a very nice retro-styled canyon carver of a sportbike. Take a look...
