A new team has committed to racing in the Isle of Man TT Zero race on 9 June 2010. The team is known as the Swedish Electric Racing Team (SERT) and they have purchased a former Stiggy Racing Honda CBR600RR to use as the chassis for their entry. Chris Palmer will be riding their bike and he has plenty of experience; he has three wins and four podiums since his debut on the Isle in 1990.

Leon Haslam - An Interview with a WSBK Racer

Haslam left Stiggy Honda (good thing as they are gone now) and was picked up by the factory-backed Alstare Suzuki for the World Superbike Championship in 2010. Stiggy Racing Honda Closes Up Shop - Out of Business

Due to the ever-evil economic times we are in, we are loosing another race team to lack of money. Stiggy Racing Honda has no choice but to shutter their operation; they simply do not have the financial strength to continue. That means that they will be pulling out of World Superbike and World Supersport competition effective immediately. Sad to see them leave...another one gone.

Broc Parkes Will Remain in World Superbike in 2010

The Echo CRS Honda team has signed Broc Parkes for the 2010 World Superbike season. He finished 18th in the 2009 WSBK standings with the PBM Kawasaki team but made an impressive run during the BSB race at Brands Hatch; there he finished second in all three races. Echo is moving up to Superbike from World Supersport and will be fielding ex-Stiggy Honda CBR1000RR bikes in 2010.

Leon Haslam Will Race in Rallycross Event at Mallory Park

He will be taking his skills to the four-wheel racing world on 18 October at Mallory Park in the Mirror.co.uk Kumho Tyres MSA British Rallycross Championship. This is part of his new signing with Alstare Suzuki - and it's good fun! He will return to his Honda ride in the World Superbike Championship the following weekend in Portugal.

John Hopkins is Out of World Superbike for 2009

Apparently, Hopper injured his brain - causing a small hemorrhage which has stopped bleeding - when he fell at Nurburgring in Germany. Dr. Ting, in the US, discovered the damage and has told him to sit out the rest of the 2009 season and to be observed over the next 6 weeks. It seems that Hopper is cursed...
