Apparently, Hopper injured his brain - causing a small hemorrhage which has stopped bleeding - when he fell at Nurburgring in Germany. Dr. Ting, in the US, discovered the damage and has told him to sit out the rest of the 2009 season and to be observed over the next 6 weeks. It seems that Hopper is cursed...

Troy Corser Ran the BMW S1000RR World Superbike at the Front in Germany

The Nurbugring World Superbike round saw BMW improve even more. The factory's racebike is an amazing machine and it is beginning to prove its worth on the world stage. BMW Motorrad is serious about their racing effort and their entry, the S1000RR, is a serious contender.

World Superbike Championship Race Results from Nurburgring

Here are results from today's World Supersport race at Nurburgring in Germany. Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow took the win, with Sofuoglu and Laverty rounding out the podium.

In the World Superbike class, the two races were dominated by American Ben Spies. He took both victories, with Haga in second in the first race and, unfortunately, crashing out of the second. Spies now leads in the World Superbike Championship.

In the World 600 Superstock series Belgian Vincent Lonbois took his Yamaha to the top of the podium.
