Some Stories About Life with Motorcycles in Various Places

First up, is this lovely tale about a police department that broke into a garage of a rider, stole his bike, then phoned him up to say that they had recovered it from a thief. It happened...

Now, imagine you have worked for a television news broadcaster for over 20 years. Then, the company who you work for discovers that you are also the spokesman for a heavily-maligned motorcycle gang and fires you for it. What would you do? Well, it happened to Steve Jones...

Now comes the one we wish we all had happen to us. Suppose you are a very wealthy heir to an even larger fortune and you want a new motorcycle. What do you buy? Well, a Vyrus 987 of course!

The 2010 Vyrus 987 C3 4V - A Mad Italian Motorcycle

Yes, we have seen this before on this blog, but it is always nice to look back at something this wonderful (plus, there is a video after the link)! The Vyrus 987 C3 4V will become the most powerful production motorcycle when it debuts - of course, many manufacturers make this claim. However, just looking at the Vyrus makes one dream of racing around a tight track or bombing the canyons with your best riding buddies. I would certainly have on in my garage if I had the means!

Vyrus to Display New Vyrus 987 C3 4V at EICMA Milan

You may have seen these - well, unobtanium is not right because they can be bought...Oh! - 'high-end' motorcycles in other publications; or, you might have been lucky enough to see one in person (I have). Either way, you must be impressed with the technology used in producing these machines. They are a company like Bimota, who take engines from other manufacturers and build an incredibly light and high-performance chassis around it. With the new Vyrus 987 C3 4V, we should expect to see something similar to the 984 pictured here. However, Vyrus has kicked things up a bit: the top of the line model will only weigh 340lb (154kg) and put out - wait for it - 211 horsepower! Though, the linked article is incorrect in calling it the most powerful 'production' motorcycle as it is a custom or modified...it's worth a read!
