Vintage Brough Superior Breaks Land Speed Record

With the help of Mr. Jay Leno (he let them use his garage), and an international cast of characters - from the new Brough Superior's Austrian operations - have taken their new 1000 cc SS model to a measured top speed of 124.98 mph! The engine on this machine is based around the original 1927 1000 cc Alpine Grand Sport, but it has the benefit of using modern materials. For more of the story, go straight to the source:

Two Very Rare Motorcycles to be Auctioned - Brough Superior SS80


These two historic machines will be auctioned off by H&H Classic Auctions in a few days. Both are Brough Superior SS80 motorcycles, one from 1926 and one from 1930, and both are very rare motorcycles. The 1926 model is pictured here. Cash in your 401(k) and own a piece of history - and some very cool motorcycles!

Australian Ivan Casson Has an Impressive Collection of Historic Motorcycles

Casson lives in Australia and has a very nice, reinforced and secure garage in the back of his house there. Inside the garage is an enviable collection of some very fine motorcycles. A jaw-droppingly well-maintained 1933 Matchless Silver Hawk, and bikes from BSA, Brough Superior, Vincent, Ariel, Sunbeam and four Triumphs, a Speed Twin, Tiger, 3T and Thunderbird - all are in his garage, but that is not all. From the modern age, a mint-condition 1982 Honda CB1100R, a Benelli Sei six-cylinder and a BMW R100RT. Check out the story after the link.
