Sunday Afternoon Moto News - AMA Supercross & GNCC Results

At Daytona Bike Week, attendees have the chance to experience just about any form of motorcycling they wish to. Of course, the racing is one of the more important items on anyone's list, and the AMA Supercross race is always a good choice for entertaining racing with some of the world's best off-road racers. In this round, class rookie Ryan Villopoto. He led the race from start to finish on his Monster Kawasaki, dominating the proceedings. In the Supercross Lites East, Christophe Pourcel conquered the 250cc class.

Sunday Afternoon Moto News - Kawasaki Announces Off-Road Team

Kawasaki has announced their 2010 US off-road motorcycle race team. Chad Reed and Ryan Villopoto will be riding the Kawasaki KX450F and in the 250c.c. Lites Class, they will run five riders total. Jake Weimer and Josh Hansen will ride in the Western series and Christophe Pourcel, Tyla Rattray, and Dean Wilson will tackle the East series championship. In the more hard core side of off-road racing, they will field Destry Abbott, Ricky Dietrich, and Justin Soule. This is just about all of the Kawasaki US contingent as they will not have a factory road race team due to the DMG / AMA Pro Racing issues we already know...

Steel City AMA Motocross Results - 250 Champion Crowned

This does not include the WMX finish. so I will dig that up somewhere else. However, the event went very well and 250 Suzuki man Ryan Dungey was crowned 2009 champion! Pourcel came on very strong in the 250 class and impressed everyone...next year should be even tighter in that series.

Chad Reed and Christophe Pourcel Win at Unadilla

Reed - in the 450 Class - still leads the series points, and he managed to solidify that lead today. Pourcel, who rides in the 250 Class, just captured the lead this weekend against Ryan Dungey. Full results after the link.
