The line-up for the 2010 FIM Moto2 Championship is starting to get into racing shape. The list is not 'official' yet, but there are 40 (they say, but I only count 25 teams on the list and I count at least 43 seats) teams on the list as of now. Of course, some of these teams may not make it to the 2010 show, but they might be able to get things together by 2011. A highly competitive series will only make the first Moto2 season more interesting.

Harley-Davidson is ending their relationship with Lehman Trikes by the year 2011. H-D will be making their own trikes in their York, PA, plant (good news for employees there) by that year. Lehman will continue to produce H-D trikes through 2010, so there should be continuous production. It was a purely economic decision, no bad blood or problems. I hope H-D will get their tooling right on the first go; I wouldn't buy one of the early models. And, Lehman has many other agreements in place - especially cool is the Victory Vision Trike - so they should still be solid.

Harley-Davidson Employees at York Plant Agree to 7 Year Contract
This has been a long time coming - but, H-D and the union did have to await the decision by H-D on whether they would keep the York, Pennsylvania plant open. Well, they have and now they have - as evidenced by the linked article - also decided to keep their employees. Not a bad thing in this economy - it could be much worse.

Harley-Davidson Has Reached an Agreement with Union at York, Pennsylvania
The plant will stay open! In fact, H-D will even invest more money in the plant at York, Pennsylvania. The union and H-D reached this agreement this past week and the union will vote on the agreement on 2 December 2009. Unfortunately, the factory will shed jobs as part of the negotiations. But, the plant will NOT move to Kentucky as Harley had originally planned. Some good news, some bad news...

You probably already know the "Cafe Racer: The Motorcycle" book and the magazine Cafe Racer from Mike Seate; well, now you can see the documentary by Pittsburgh moto-journalist Mike Seate. Cafe Society premiered on the big screen at the Three Rivers Film Festival in the Pennsylvania city and will be shown again tonight at 8PM local time at the Harris Theater in downtown - don't miss the 7PM cocktail hour and the Q&A session which follows the film! If you can't get to Pittsburgh tonight, you will have to wait for it to come to your town or DVD (already available!) like me...

Joel has been riding since the 1960s when he took a friend's Triumph out for a ride. Even with his career and the warnings he received from agents and record executives, he continues to ride. And, he wants to get out the message of motorcycle safety - riding with the proper gear and getting quality training.

Some More Bad Economic News - H-D to Cut More Jobs
At their York, PA , manufacturing plant, Harley-Davidson has cut another 71 employees loose. Harley is still deciding whether they will close the entire plant and relocate it...that would be terrible for York!

Ashley Fiolek Takes WMX Crown at Steel City
I found it, finally. The article at the other end of the link also covers the 250 and 450 AMA Pro Motocross Championship races, but the WMX series only has a paragraph or two - with overall results at the bottom. Fiolek managed a 7th place finish in Moto 1 after crashing near the end and breaking her collarbone - she did not race in Moto 2, but still captured the championship by 5 points!

Steel City AMA Motocross Results - 250 Champion Crowned
This does not include the WMX finish. so I will dig that up somewhere else. However, the event went very well and 250 Suzuki man Ryan Dungey was crowned 2009 champion! Pourcel came on very strong in the 250 class and impressed everyone...next year should be even tighter in that series.

Final Round of AMA Motocross to be PINK!
For the first time ever, a national motocross event will raise money for breast cancer research. The Steel City round - which is also the final round of the season - will feature plenty of pink in honor of the cause. There will also be an auction, several raffle prizes and other related events all around the track. What more reason do you need to attend!?!
