American Kenny Noyes is the only American in the Moto2 series in 2010, but that is not a problem for the Spanish-born rider. He is riding on the Antonio Banderas Jack and Jones team, a new partnership for the Championship. His partner in crime is Joan Olive - and they are both ready to start racing!

After hearing that Jorge Lorenzo will be missing the next MotoGP test, and that Hayden is having surgery on his arm - but will still make the test - now we get news that in World Superbike, Australian Broc Parkes has broken his leg in a training accident. He will miss the opener in his home nation and could be out for as long as six weeks. That's not a good way to start a season...

This Week in Motorcycle Racing History - Road Racer X Speed Dating

There are several important birthdays this week! It is hard to believe, but something much come from being born in November in the motorcycle racing world. Soichiro Honda would have been 102 on Tuesday. Others include Yoann Tiberio, Kurtis Roberts, Tom Kipp, Helmut Bradl, Akira Tamitsuji, Jimmy Filice, Steve Rapp, Tom Halverson, Eric Bostrom, Neil Hodgson, Alvaro Bautista, Scott Parker, Dave Molyneux, Joan Olive, and - finally - Lukas Pesek. That's some serious racing cred and some interesting history plus some up-and-coming talents as well. It must be something about the cold...or being in your mother's womb during the summer...

Kenny Noyes Gets Practice Time on His Antonio Banderas Racing Moto2 Motorcycle

Noyes was only recently added to the Banderas team due to his performance in a Spanish Championship (where he still has two races to run this year for Kawasaki), and he had to share the one race bike they have with teammate Joan Olivé. The team will be using a Harris frame, Ohlins suspension, and Brembo brakes. Noyes enjoyed the easy handling nature of the Moto2 machine and he feels that he will be able to handle this machine in any race in 2010.

Scott Redding Meets With Antonio Banderas and His Moto2 Team

Banderas' team, Promo Racing, have already signed Spaniard Joan Olive and they are interested in the British rider Redding to join them. They will race on custom-framed Honda CBR600-powered Moto2 machines in the 2010 MotoGP World Championship. Expect some interesting action in that series next year - it's all new to everyone...
