The Michael Jordan Motorsports AMA Pro Racing team has revealed the livery they will be using for the 2010 season, which started at Daytona this week. Since it is the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan franchise, they have gone with silver as the base color. Even riders will be running with special silver boots recognizing the achievement. John Hopkins and John Ulrich are back together for 2010. Well, if you were paying attention, we already knew this. However, many may have forgotten that it was Ulrich who helped turn Hopper into a world-class motorcycle racer. Now Ulrich is running the team which Hopkins is racing for...how has it been having these two back together?

And, why not another story on yesterday's racing. It is especially apt since it was a Jordan Motorsports team member, Jake Zemke, who won the American Superbike race yesterday...you know most of it, but take a look anyway...

Monday NIgth Moto News - CCS Florida & Danny Eslick
The 2010 CCS Florida started this season at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend. The three big winners were Jeff Wood, Andres Londono and Kevin Mendez. For all the details, you need to take the link; there really is a great deal of information located there.

More Morning Moto News - Hopper, Mark Neale & Ben Spies
More news comes to us about John Hopkins and his dual role in 2010 with both the FB Corse MotoGP outfit and the M4 Suzuki AMA Pro Racing team. It seems that both options are a possibility - he may ride in two series this year. The FB Corse team, though, will only participate in select MotoGP rounds, but M4 will contest the entire American Superbike season. For more, take the link...

Mark Neale is at it again! Remember the documentaries Faster and The Doctor, The Tornado and the Kentucky Kid? Well, he has now made on about last year's Isle of Man TTXGP race with the electric motorcycles - it is called, appropriately, Charge. Take the link and learn more...

It seems that Ben Spies will be one of the heaviest riders on the MotoGP circuit in 2010. He has given serious thought to losing some weight, but he also had some great success at Valencia while being at his current weight. Given how fit he is, I have to think that his weight is only a minor concern for his team, so nothing important to think about there...he is very talented and his size will not change that.

FB Corse, who expect to compete in select MotoGP events in 2010 on their way to a full season, says that John Hopkins is still their rider no matter what the news reports have suggested. Apparently, FB Corse has said that they allowed the M4 Suzuki test in order to keep Hopper sharp. They have stated that he will be riding their three-cylinder MotoGP machine in 2010.

Gresini has announced their rider line-up for the 2010 Moto2 World Championship. They will field Toni Elias and a Russian rookie named Vladimir Ivanov. Elias was not expecting to end up here, but he will give it his best and hope to get back to MotoGP. Elias should be a good mentor for the newbie rider Ivanov due to his huge amount of experience. It should be a good team.

He may very well end up in the American Superbike (update) class - and we should welcome him back to action. I missed him! The team will like the sponsorship he brings as well. American Suzuki Announces 2010 AMA Pro Racing Plans
Suzuki is going to consolidate their USA racing operations to save some money, so all Suzuki racing in the US will fall under the Yoshimura banner for 2010. Yoshimura Suzuki will support Team M4 Suzuki who will support Danny Eslick, who will be riding a GEICO Insurance-backed Suzuki GSX-R600 in 2010 with M4 co-branding. Daytona SportBike Race 1 Results - Herrin Takes Win
New Jersey Motorsports Park seems to have changed up the order a bit in AMA Pro Racing. Pole sitters have, so far, had some rather nasty luck. In Daytona SportBike, it was no different as pole position owner Jason DiSalvo started well - getting the holeshot - but ending up in 30th place by the end of lap 1. So, Yamaha's Joch Herrin takes the advantage and the win.
