Oberdan Bezzi Brings Us the MMB1 - Bimota's First Moto Morini - And MMB2!

Unfortunately, it is just a drawing presently. And, of course, many malign the Moto Morini powerplant. However, this design concept just simply works. It is beautiful, Italian and looks like it would be one to add to my garage - if I can ever afford another motorcycle. Oberdan Bezzi is a talented idea man who has brought us some of the most interesting designs I have seen. It is called the MMB1 - meaning Moto Morini Bimota, first model. Just take a look and then read the story behind why this came about...

Just a few days later...we get yet another design from the mind of Oberdan Bezzi! This one is a cross between a streetfighter and supermoto concept with a more upright ergonomic setup and a surprisingly edgy look. It sure would be nice to know that Bimota would at least consider something like these machines. I am certain they would sell well - at least for the boutique perfectionism of this fine Italian marque. It would be nice to get one or both of these lovely works of mechanical art! If only they will become reality...

Tuesday Morning Moto News - MV Agusta, Bimota & Aprilia

A new Italian firm has just announced a very special MV Agusta Brutale model - the Tamburini T1. It is full of exotic parts which can only be sourced from a company set up by Massimo Tamburini's son, Andrea Tamburini, called Tamburini Corse. It is in the old MV Corse stomping grounds of San Marino and makes parts and accessories exclusively for MV Agusta and Ducati motorcycles. You will notice that, in the photos, they have modified a pre-2010 model Brutale just to show what can be done. Have a look, I am sure you will be pleased.

Over at the RareSportBikes for Sale blog, there is a listing for a 2008 Bimota DB6R, a very special machine indeed. It is the top-end model of the DB6 range and comes with all of the lovely unobtanium parts and accessories that you could ever want. This bike belonged to the importer - former importer - and only has 1100 miles on the clock. Plus, it is full US-spec. It is worth a look!

Another riding impression of a 2010 Aprilia RS125, but this one was tested in the US. The bike is well-sorted and built for track duty or just simple racing. It is light, handles well, and is designed to get you around a track as fast as a 125c.c. two-stroke is capable of doing. Take a look and you may want one for yourself.

Friday Afternoon New Moto News - Bimota DB8 Biposto!

Bimota has just released details of their new DB8. Many expected it to be a naked bike - the ultra-exotic version of the Ducati Streetfighter. But, it is now going to be the 'entry-level' motorcycle from Bimota. It actually has TWO seats and is much less expensive than the DB7, but has a bit more power. Of course, it is not as light as the DB7 since they have replaces the carbon fiber with plastic (or aluminum in the case of the subframe) and the titanium with aluminum. It still have that lovely Bimota design, but at a price more people can afford. Only 250 will be produced.

First Look: Bimota DB7R Diavolo Rosso - A Dream on Wheels

OK, so there are many dream bikes on my list - too many to even list online, I think. The new Bimota DB7R Diavolo Rosso is right at the top of that list, and now it is available to purchase. It is based around the Ducati 1099c.c. 1098 engine, and it only weighs 164kg (361 lb) but has 164 hp! It is both covered and made of carbon fiber - for the most part - has some very high-tech computers on-board with GPS capabilities and it looks gorgeous! Have a look at my next bike!
