Honda Australia has announced that they are restructuring and will cease operations of the Honda Riders Club of Australia effective immediately. As with the American version, which is still barely active, its activities spanned the entire range of sports associated with Honda motorsports products. All of that work will now be done in-house at the Australian HQ.

MCN (UK) has produced a very cool read about scams, cheats and hoaxes in the motorcycle world. Some are quite amazingly interesting and others are just plain laugh out loud funny. The one about the FP1, though, I would like to research more just to find the truth - not to hurt anyone, but to finally know what actually did happen. OK, so take the link and read them, you will enjoy it!

Colorado Mountain Towns Begin Motorcycle Safety Campaign
I know it sounds like they are going to just put out some flyers or give a few seminars, but it appears to be more likely a new program to cut down on impaired-riding. So, that usually means checkpoints which only ask motorcyclists to pull over; or, they will just put their focus on the riders. It is probably coming from a good place in these people's hearts, but they would do much better to educate car and truck (and, in Colorado, the bus drivers) drivers about motorcyclists as that was always the problem I encountered on the mountain roads of Colorado. If you are lucky enough to still live there, be careful when you ride in this region...they may just think your tire-warming swerve looks like you have had one too many...

Riding the BMW K1300GT in Colorado
Well, it was in Colorado where the author test rode the BMW, though the state has little to do with it. The K1300GT is a touring bike like very few...it handles well, has serious power, and can carry almost anything you need for a 'grand tour'.

This follows an earlier post from a colleague of mine who also reviewed the K1300GT.

A Chronicle of the International Women & Motorcycling Conference
An ex-Team Oregon motorcycle safety instructor - I am a suspended TO member (long story, and it will be resolved soon) - takes a trip to Keystone, Colorado. She is there to participate in the International Women and Motorcycling Conference - an event which is not only for women! This is a very good account of the event and the rides around it.
