Xavier Galindo Joins Husaberg Factory Team

Galindo will focus on racing in extreme enduro events and in the Indoor Enduro World Cup. His main work will be the extreme races, but he will also back up the team in the WEC series. His history is full of tough challenges which he overcame to become a top rider or even champion in many series. Looks like Husaberg gas yet another winner on their team - Galindo is a four time Spanish Enduro champion with plenty of X-Country trophies lining his shelves.

FIM Announces e-Power International Series - Electric Motorcycle Racing

Already the FIM has four races scheduled in its e-Power Series - an all new series which has yet to even be completely defined - and they are promising more; it will be run in conjunction with the FIM Endurance series. It is simple to see why, electric motorcycles are the future and they may become an important class in motorcycle racing as well. The most important part of this announcement is that the FIM has 'pulled the plug' from the TTXGP eGrandPrix series - Azhar Hussain is not too happy with this. PR: FIM Inks Deal with Perform to Develop Broadband Video Website

From an press release form the FIM, we hear that they have signed an agreement to work with tech firm Perform to create a website which will feature video from all FIM events. Those videos will be high-quality and a broadband connection will be required to watch them since they will be very large. The FIM has over ten years of videos which will also be put on the site. It will have both live and VOD services...

Yamaha Austria Racing Team Wins 8 Hours of Doha and Championship

Finally, there are some results from Qatar! The last we heard, the Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) was in the lead, and they managed to carry on in the lead until the last lap. So, Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Gwen Giabbani took the victory at the track. In second place is - well, we expected this - Phase One Yamaha, consisting of James Ellison, Pedro Vallcaneras and Glen Richards. Third place was taken by the Kawasaki team of Horst Saiger, Eric Mizera and Patric Muff. Looks like YART has yet another championship season - by a wide margin of points!

Yamaha Austria Racing Team Leads 8 Hours of Doha

Yamaha Austria Racing Team riders Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Gwen Giabbani are holding the lead at the endurance event in Qatar. Phase One - including BSB ace James Ellison - is back in second place now. And, BK Maco Moto rider Jason Pridmore had a nasty crash which broke his collarbone. In the Superstock class, the Suzuki Qatar Endurance Racing Team is in the lead, but fifth place overall. Almost over...

James Ellison Takes Superpole at 8 Hours of Doha

This is the final race on the calendar for the FIM Endurance World Championship and the second place finisher in British Superbike, James Ellison, has taken pole position for the race this weekend. American Jason Pridmore is back in third position with his BK Maco Moto Racing team. In between the two is the Honda Michelin Power Research Team and their rider Hugo Marchand. It will be a good weekend in Qatar for motorcycle racing...

Cudlin Brothers Make Comeback at 6 Hour Race at Oran Park

Well, they lost their ride in the FIM World Endurance series, but they have found a good ride at the 6 Hour Race at Oran Park in Australia. Dean Evans Revolution/Central Coast Performance Center will provide a Yamaha YZF-R1 for the brothers to race at the event. This is the first time that the brothers have raced in Australia in five long years and both are very happy to be back on their home soil. The event will happen during 20 - 22 November and will be the last ever motorcycle race at Oran Park.

Alex and Damian Cudlin are Laid-Off from Phase One Yamaha Endurance Team

The team simply did not have enough budget to keep them on. They have brought in Australian Glen Richards and James Ellison for the final event of the Endurance World Championship at Doha, Qatar. Even worse for the Cudlin brothers, they have not had the best season this year. I think you will agree with me when I wish the Australian brothers the best of luck in gaining employment for next season!

2010 BMW G450X Enduro Motorcycle Close-Up

BMW was rather bold to release a 450c.c. dirt-biased motorcycle to compete against the big four of Japan, but they have had some success. Yamaha Austria Racing Team Takes World Endurance Title

In the FIM World Endurance Championships, Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) took the championship at the Bol d’Or track. They did not finish on the podium, but finished high enough in the race to gain the necessary points to take the overall championship for 2009.
