Alpinestars has teamed up with band Angels & Airwaves to produce a line of t-shirts which will be sold to benefit Riders for Health. The idea is not new, but it is a very good one. Anything earned by these shirts to help aid workers in Africa get around to help people is a positive step. So, take whatever little money you do have and order one for yourself - and maybe some for your family and friends - and help out some wonderful people who use it to do good in this world.

Recently, as you know if you have been following this blog, London's Ace Cafe held their Ace Cafe London Motorcycle & Custom Show (it was last weekend at Alexandra Palace), also known as Ally Pally. The winners of the various event classes have now been disclosed to the public and are available on the other side of this link. At least one of the winners will be taking a trip to South Dakota for the Sturgis rally!

MSS Colchester Kawasaki top rider Simon Andrews could be in some serious trouble. Andrews has admitted to three separate driving offenses which could lead him to time in prison and/or they may take away his driving license. He has pleaded guilty...and it may cost him his 2010 BSB season - idiot!

Well-known motorcycle World Champion and journalist Steve Parrish has said that 2010 will be the year of Britain in the motorcycle racing series of the world. He expects James Toseland to get a fire under his rear and to take the WSBK paddock by storm; however, he sees Jonathan Rea as the heir apparent for the World Championship. No matter how it all goes down, British participation is heading in the right direction for him!

Riders for Health Riding the Roof of Africa - Video

Riders for Health does some amazing work for the people of Africa. On occasion, though, they also take anyone who can afford to pay the entry fee on rides through the continent, which, as we all know, is one of the most beautiful and untouched places on the face of the Earth. Here we have a video of the 2009 ride with Randy Mamola, one of the co-founders of the group. It is really worth your time, so take the link and you will be happy that you did so.

Arai Will Host Charity Auction at Carole Nash International Show

At the ever-popular Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, Arai will be auctioning off some helmets - and the proceeds will go to Riders for Health. The auction will be held on Saturday, 5 December 2009, in the Arai Entertainment Zone (Hall 2) at 12 Noon. Several helmets will be on offer including a Corsair RX-7 GP Colin Edwards replica which he signed. Also, several cannot-be-purchased items will be up for bid. Sweet Yamaha YZF-R1 Rossi Motorcycle Auction for Riders for Health

The project was started by Don Emde, publisher and ex-racer and much more, and includes Yamaha USA, Roadracingworld.com, Aldo Drudi and Valentino Rossi. The YZF-R1 was donated by Yamaha, the bodywork was designed and painted by Drudi - he of Rossi helmet fame - based on the 'Five Continents' Rossi/AGV helmet and approved by Valentino Rossi. Many others are involved and adding services and parts, including Roland Sands Design, AGV, Ohlins and Akrapovic. No photo has been released as of yet and the auction time and location are also still up in the air. All proceeds will benefit Riders for Health.
