And, speaking of Florida, Daytona Bike Week is in full swing and you will also have a chance to demo some of the new models from the Royal Enfield line of motorcycles. As the world's oldest motorcycle brand, you should expect to see the history represented in the bike models, but you will also notice all of the modern technology included. For a taste of a marque who has been making motorcycles for more than a century - and still sticks to the simple-is-best mentality - get yourself to a "Royal Enfield Experience" near you!

Thursday Afternoon Moto News - CB750 For Sale & Spain By Bullet

First of all is this eBay find of a 1975 Honda CB750. It is partially restored and ready to be finished into either a show bike or a mile-munching classic. The next one is a 1970 CB750 which only has 5,000 miles on the clock. It has been stored most of its life, but has received some recent work. Check them out and buy one if you can!

We have a great story about a man and his Royal Enfield Bullet who takes it all around the northern coast of Spain. It turns out that this mount, with a 50+ year-old design, is probably one of the best backroad cruising machines you can purchase. No, it is not perfect, but the feel of riding one through historic lands is just fantastic.

Finally - Some Information on the Royal Enfield New Models

There is now an article about where exactly the extra investment in Royal Enfield of India went to. Though, not addressed directly, the author at least mentions the new Classic 350, which seems to be destined for the domestic market only. The Classic 500 is available throughout the world and RE now has orders for over 1000 of them. So, maybe this is what they are using their newfound influx of cash - advertising! It seems to be working...

Royal Enfield Expanding Production and Adding Models

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a good article on the Royal Enfield expansion. I have seen blurbs here and there and on some subscription sites about the news, but nothing worth linking. Royal Enfield is investing US$14 million to move their production from 50 million to 100 million units annually. Once I get more information, I will post it here...
