Weight has always been an enemy of racers everywhere - especially, it seems, in motorcycle racing. Of course, if you want more power out of your bike and you don't have much money - go on a diet! After all, they say (no, not sure who 'they' are) that 7 pounds equals one horsepower. With a plastic engine, though, you might not need to cut back on the beer so much. The idea has been around for decades now, but plastic technology has come very far in the last few years. It just might be possible to create a mostly plastic engine and save a great deal of weight in the process...
