More Afternoon Moto News - Aprilia and BSB & Alastair Seeley's NW200

Aprilia has also announced that they will be in the 2010 BSB Evo Championship. That makes it eight manufacturers participating in the series - a nice, large number of variety. The Splitlath Motorsport team will be campaigning their machines with riders (and brothers) Chris and Joe Burns. That makes some 32 riders on the BSB grid, with 12 of them competing in the new Evo series. (This may be a repeat post, but it is a new article.)

Alistair Seeley may not be able to race in the North West 200 Superbike class this year. We all know that long-time fan favorite Stuart Easton will be returning to the event, but leaving Seeley out of the premier race will make it less of a special event. For now, Seeley's team will be talking with the organizers of the event to see if they can get him into the proper classes at the 15 May 2010 event.

Thursday Morning Moto Race News - MotoGP, CRP and BSB

It seems that Dorna and Carmelo Ezpeleta has said that he is open to moving up the date of the 1000c.c. engine change for MotoGP by a year. He has stated that he would not fight against such a move, but he believes that all interested parties would probably want to stick with the 2012 date. Italian firm CRP has finally released their eCRP 1.0 electric race motorcycle to the public. As you would imagine, coming from an Italian company, it is rather strikingly beautiful. The machine will run with two Agni motors which link to a single shaft, and, like the Mavizen TTX02, it has a touch-panel control system in place with wireless built in. It was designed specifically for racing in the 2010 TTXGP series. The units should start shipping around late March or early April.

Michael Laverty is looking for a championship in the 2010 British Superbike Championship. He will continue to ride for the Relentless Suzuki squad with teammate Alastair Seeley. If he can get it done this year, it will be Suzuki's first title in the BSB series since 2004. Expect Laverty to put on a real show.

Alistair Seeley has announced his attempt on the 'flying five' at the North West 200 this year. If he does it, he will equal the results of Phillip McCallen. The race is set to go off in May, so he has some time to prepare. Seeley will ride a Suzuki in two Superbike, two Supersport and the Superstock races during the event. It will be fun to watch him!

Relentless Suzuki Is Taking Alistair Seeley to British Superbike

Relentless Suzuki will maintain the same team which brought Seeley the 2009 BSB Superstock 1000 championship, but they will be competing in British Superbikes in 2010. He did run a BSB Evo spec Suzuki in the last two rounds of the BSB Championship in 2009, and finished in the top ten. So, he has already seen much of the competition and believes he is ready to compete at that level.

Racers Depart for Kings of Wanneroo event in Perth, Australia

A huge list of U.K. racers are heading off to Australia for the Kings of Wanneroo race. Alastair Seeley, Ian Lougher, Conor Cummins, Keith Amor, Ryan Farquhar have already left and are flying there now. Jonathan Rea, Jeremy McWilliams, Andrew Pitt, Guy Martin, and Simon Andrews will all be at the Barbagallo Circuit shortly after the other group. It will be an all-star event for the Perth crowd. I certainly hope someone televises it since I cannot travel there...

2009 Kings of Wanneroo in Perth - Alastair Seeley to Join In as Well

We already know that the U.K. and Ireland are sending some big racing stars Down Under to race in the 2009 King of Wanneroo event. Well, now we hear that Irish Superbike Champion, British Superstock Champion, and big performer at Ireland's Sunflower Trophy race, Alastair Seeley will be joining them. Relentless Suzuki Dominated Northern Ireland's Sunflower Event

Relentless Suzuki's Ian Lowry was the most prominent in the 5 race win weekend. He won the Sunflower Trophy as he won the the Sunflower Trophy race - and he won the first superbike race of the weekend as well. His teammates Alastair Seeley, Michael Laverty, Lee Johnston, John Holden and Andy Winkle also had a great weekend by either winning their class race or placing high on the podium. Well, I guess my post about the GSX-R1000-K9 gets some more support...

Alastair Seeley Will Ride Full Superbike at Oulton BSB Round

He is already Superstock champion of the British Superbike Championship, but he also rode a new 'Evo' class at the last round where he managed an incredible showing for a superstock engine in a superbike frame. Given that result, Relentless Suzuki will be giving him a chance with a full superbike!

First British Superbike Evolution Class Rider Doing Very Well

Relentless Suzuki’s Alastair Seeley is the first rider to have the superstock-class engine in a superbike frame with a spec ECU. He already has taken the British Supersport Championship for 2009, and is riding the newly created bike to test the viability of the series which will start next year. So far, so good!

Alastair Seeley - Already Champion - Extends Lead at Croft

Seeley has already been given the crown in the British Supersport Championship series, but he only managed to get third at Croft. However, it is enough to add even more points to his standings. He has now lost his 100% win streak in 2009, but he is the Champion!
