Guy Martin Driving a RaceCAR?

If I were within 500 miles (805 Km) of this, I would want to be there...however, a high-definition screen sees much more than I could were I actually at the event. (Plus, I do believe computers are giving me eye cancer...) Guy Martin in his first four-wheeled race piloting a Caterham Superlight R300 - an open-wheeled car reminiscent of a early 20th Century racer - is nothing if not historic. It is something one would relate to their grandchildren. Go have a read at this local paper. Oh, and feast your eyes on those chops. Guy Martin and his boat, his bike and his Caterham Superlight.

The BBC likes to follow a single rider during their preparation for the North West 200 real roads race held in the United Kingdom on 16 May 2010. They started the project, as far as I can tell, last year with James McCann. This year they will be taking on two racers - fan favorite Guy Martin and Stephen Thompson. The project has just started, but if you want to follow it, you should take the link below.

Monday Afternoon Moto News - Luca Scassa & Guy Martin

Italian rider Luca Scassa has now joined with the Supersonic Ducati team to ride in his second year of the World Superbike Championship. Scassa rode for Kawasaki in 2009 WSBK, but only pulled in a 29th overall position. Given his ability with Italian machines (he has raced for MV Agusta previously), he should be able to improve on his 2009 numbers in 2010!

Guy Martin and Wilson-Craig-Racing have signed on to use LeoVince racing exhausts for their assault on the various 'real roads' and other races they will compete in during 2010. The Isle of Man TT, though, is probably Martin's direct concern and the LeoVince bits they used in 2009 did very well for the team. As is well-known, Martin is a very hands-on type of guy, so this decision is most certainly one which he approves of.

Bosch's motorcycle ABS system has won a big award in Germany. They call it the 'Yellow Angel' award and it was given to them for their work in improving road safety for motorcyclists. They have done excellent work and their system certainly does work well...Good going Bosch!

Guy Martin Signs With Wilson Craig’s Honda Team

Martin will basically run his own team with the deal he has been given. He will decide which bike to race and where to race it - though, as usual, he will be racing mostly in 'real roads' events such as the Scarborough, Southern 100, and the Isle of Man TT. He will have both a Superbike and a Supersport machine - both Honda, of course, and they will be prepared to his liking. A great deal for a racing legend!
