That's correct, Oliver's Mount is located in North Yorkshire in the town of Scarborough in England. The track has a long and storied history with motorcycle racing and 2010 marks the 60th anniversary of the circuit. It's 'natural road circuit' is renowned with professional riders from every generation. This being a special year, funds have been poured in to creating a spectacular Bike Week program. There will be several events, including the Barry Sheene Race Festival, the Cock o’ the North Road Races, and the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup. Phil Read and Giacomo Agostini will also attend some of the events. Incredible schedule! Check it out...

Ago is taking a 'wait and see' approach to entering the Moto2 Championship series. According to him, he is in no hurry to get back into racing; he simply wants to be sure he and his team can be competitive and he wants to be sure there will be no serious limitations. So, maybe in 2011 we will see him running a World Championship team - I sure hope he does come back to at least run a team!

P.S. It is also possible that he is waiting for something else from the folks at MV Agusta/Cagiva due to the increase in displacement in the MotoGP class - imagine MV Agusta back in MotoGP!
It may very well happen, if they can get the sponsorship money. Ago and Claudio Castiglioni may work together to field an entry in the new 250GP replacement, Moto2. Can you imagine what that would be like? I hope it would not be some half-hearted attempt at publicity. Though, seeing some of what Ago can do, and not to mention the number of very talented people he knows well, I think that he would be able to run a rather good team.

This popped up thanks to his competition at a famous race in his life, Giacomo Agostini, whom he passed at the 1976 Laverton TT in Australia. Of course, he did not get to keep his increasing lead on the already-legendary Ago; Avant's Suzuki RG500 seized up on him and threw him off later in the race. The story here is good. It is about a truly skilled motorcycle racer during a great time in motorcycle road race history.

Well, I didn't win the Dainese and AGV contest to join this tour, but then I did not have any money to buy anything as was required. That's life, I suppose...However, the 18 people who did when have had a blog set up for them to record their thoughts, feelings and experiences while touring with Ago, Marco Lucchinelli and Max Biaggi. What an opportunity!

There, the two motorcycle champions will take to the track on a MV Agusta. Also, some other rather famous riders from that golden period of motorcycle racing will attend.

This event is held in Belgium every year now and has been held for 7 years. Nest year's Bikers' Classics will be during the July 2-4 weekend. At this past June's meeting, Giacomo Agostini paraded his historic Yamaha OW23 around the same track he scored a victory with it 35 years ago.

This coming weekend in Armoy, Ballymoney, Northern Ireland (please forgive me if my American addressing system fails here), Hugh O'Kane will be hosting the first ever Armoy Motorcycle Club Race - a race billed as "The Race of Legends". The race will be the final race in the 2009 Ulster Championship. Mr. O'Kane will put on display a HUGE collection of classic and vintage motorcycles in his shop on New Street. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, this is an event not to miss! Swim there if you must!
If you remember the Armoy Armada, this is an event for you! If this is out of your scope of knowledge, please attend the event and learn your history!

Giacomo Agostini will attend the Britsh Superbike Championship round at Brands Hatch this weekend. He will be reunited with his MV Agusta 500-3 and OW31 TZ750 Yamaha in order to take some laps of the track for the crowd. Phil Read will join him on the track.
This race is also notable since the BSB will run three races over the weekend instead of the usual double-header.
