CAME Yamaha will launch their British Supersport Championship team at the grand opening of their new Manchester location during 25 - 27 March 2010. You will have a chance to meet the entire team - that includes riders, techs and other support members of the team. There will also be plenty of marketing schwag - hats, t-shirts and the like - as well as a chance to win tickets to selected rounds of the BSB series!

In more testing for the BSB season at Cartegena, Yukio Kagayama and his Worx Crescent teammate Tommy Hill were still the fastest on the track - both went past the track record lap time during their testing. We have covered this before, but this is a great piece from Alex Gobert, so go on over and check it out!

Sunday Morning Moto News - Gowland and Andrews
Over in the U.K., an old hand is returning to race in the show - Graeme Gowland. He will be running in the British Supersport Championship with Parkalgar Honda on the same CBR600RR which took Eugene Laverty to second in the World Supersport Championship. He was hoping to move up elsewhere, but it all comes down to money...

MSS Colchster Kawasaki rider Simon Andrews is in France doing high-altitude training. He will be competing in the British Superbike Championship in 2010, and he wants to be in his best shape. It makes sense to train in the thin air as it will make you even better at near sea-level altitudes. He has also been working on recovering from injury, but all seems to be going well so far.

Now, this is Aleix Espargaro who was given the opportunity to ride for the Pramac Ducati team at a few rounds of the 2009 MotoGP Championship. Now he has a full ride in the series for 2010. He had to endure some surgery, though, to get his left arm fixed. Read the article for details...

Ben Wilson, newly re-signed, will ride with teammate Lee Johnston on the Supersport team. In the National Superstock 600 series, Sam Coventry will take their name to the track at only 16 years-old. Rossi has said that he will not be participating in the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours. He was going to ride with Jean Alesi in a Ferrari 430 GT2, but has decided not to join the event. He wants nothing to distract him from MotoGP in 2010.

Of course, Rossi has also said that Ben Spies will be a tough competitor in the 2010 MotoGP championship, but I think we already knew that.

Marco Melandri is looking for some stability in his racing career. Given his recent contract issues with Ducati and Kawasaki (who prematurely withdrew from MotoGP in 2009), his new spot at Gresini Honda is something he hopes will endure. Honestly, I am in complete agreement; I hope he has a wonderful 2010!

Raceways Yamaha Becomes CAME Yamaha for 2010
Raceways Yamaha has found a sponsor for their 2010 British Supersport Championship campaign. They also hired James Westmoreland to join Billy McConnell in the fight for the title. This comes as we keep hearing about other teams having serious trouble finding sponsorship. So, this is some very good news in these dark economic days.

Fuchs-Silkolene Renews Title Sponsorship for British Supersport Championship
For the third consecutive year, Fuchs-Silkolene will be title sponsor for the British Supersport Championship. In 2009, Steve Plater took his HM Plant Honda to the championship, and next year's entry list has yet to be released. You can find some of that information after the link.
