AMA and BMW Motorrad USA Announce F800GS Winner

The AMA and BMW Motorrad USA gave an entry to everyone who entered and rode in a AMA BMW National Adventure Riding Series event, which were held all over the US, into a drawing for a 2010 BMW F800GS. Well, today they announced the winner - Doug Carter of Eubank, Kentucky, is the lucky SOB. He will take delivery of the F800GS very soon and will make very good use of it; Carter has been riding since he was five years old! So, in many ways, he is a deserving person, but we can still detest him anyway...

Neil Hodgson is starting to like the way his race machine feels - this after some seven days of testing in Spain at two different locations. Motorpoint Yamaha has been working hard to give him the mount he needs to be competitive. His teammate Dan Linfoot is also expected to do very well this year. But, if Hodgson does come to terms with the sweet R1 he is racing, everyone else must take care and keep their eyes open - Hodgson is heading for the win!

Yamaha and Valentino Rossi - Contract Negotiations and a Video

Yamaha is very interested in keeping Rossi on their MotoGP team up to his retirement, whenever that may be. His current contract expires next year, so they are already working with him to get another in place so that he will finish his two-wheel racing career at the Japanese marque. It may go well as Rossi has already indicated he may very well retire with Yamaha.

Steve Alexander Wins £30,000 Carole Nash Old Skool Bobber

Of course, the presentation ceremony was held at the NEC, where the Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show is being held now. A Norton NRS Takes 'Britain's Got Biking Talent' Title

Tony Haywood, and his Norton NRS, took the win at the yearly Britain's Got Biking Talent and was presented with the award at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show at the NEC in England. It took him four years and £25,000 to get his Norton in the most perfect state possible. He enlisted Norton people from all over the world, including the new owner of the marque. It was a painstaking process and he was aptly rewarded for it!

Ducati Monster Art Club Contest Winners Announced

After months of entries and lots of voting, the winners of the Ducati Monster Art Club Contest have been announced. In first place is the Ducati Trapani Club of Italy with their creation, "Star Glitter." Second place is Magyar Ducati Klub of Hungary with the oddly named "Foodster." And, coming in in third is DOC Ducati Hellas of Greece with their stunning "El Greco", which is my favorite Monster here.
